Snowfall in May

Snowflakes fall
Winter will not leave
The green grass struggles to grow
Only to be covered with the snow

An early spring passes while the birds sing
Chirp and chatter, warning that it matters
It is a cruel joke that the weather feeds
The false narrative that all is well

The icebergs blockade our shores
A beautiful warning sign
That displays the truth for all to see
Our planet is trying to eject us
We are no longer free
